Fully 80% of the original 91,000 acre ranch, including all of the most environmentally sensitive lands, will remain in its pristine and protected form in perpetuity as The Babcock Ranch Preserve. In addition to the 73,000+ acre nature preserve, more than half of the remaining 17,000+ acres within the new city of Babcock Ranch will be dedicated to natural greenways, parks and lakes.
